Fuel Finder App is operated by Beat the Bookie Ltd (company number 16546873), a company registered in England and Wales ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app handles and how.
Fuel Finder App does not collect, store, or share your personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no advertising, and no analytics trackers. Your location is used only on your device and is never sent to us.
The app asks for permission to use your device's location so it can show you the nearest and cheapest fuel stations and EV charge points. All distance calculations happen on your device. Your location is never transmitted to our servers or to any third party by the app. If you decline location permission, the app cannot show nearby results but no other functionality is affected.
Fuel prices and station details shown in the app come from the UK Government's Fuel Finder scheme, used under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
Electric vehicle charge point locations and details come from Open Charge Map, used under the Creative Commons CC BY-SA 4.0 licence. This is public information about charging infrastructure and contains no personal data.
When the app downloads fuel and charging data from our server, the server sees your device's IP address in routine logs, as with any internet service. These logs are used only for operating and securing the service and are not used to identify or profile you.
When you tap a station or charger to get directions, the app opens your device's maps app (Apple Maps or Google Maps). From that point, the maps provider's own privacy policy applies. We do not receive any information about your journey.
Fuel Finder App does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
If we ever change how the app handles data (for example, adding optional accounts or crash reporting), we will update this policy and the "last updated" date above before the change takes effect.
